Our restaurant spans over two floors, each providing a warm, inviting ambience that has been cherished by guests over the years. From intimate family gatherings to quick work lunches and milestone celebrations, we've hosted a diverse array of memorable experiences.
We happily welcome well-behaved dogs and their owners inside our downstairs restaurant, bar area, and our private rooms on the first-floor restaurant.
Please note that all dogs must be on the lead and off the furniture at all times.

OUR MENUS
All of our menus feature locally sourced produce wherever possible, and we are certain that you’ll be able to taste the quality. Dishes range seasonally from fresh, lively Summer plates to wholesome, comfort food in the Winter. We also aim to cater for different dietary requirements with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options available.
OUR FOOD
Head Chef Shane Sauvage brings over 13 years of experience to our kitchen, having honed his craft in some of the finest kitchens across the South of England. Passionate about bold, balanced flavour profiles, Shane takes pride in creating dishes that offer a fresh twist to the classics.
Our menu offers a versatile range of dishes — from grazing platters perfectly paired with our finest local ales or a glass of English sparkling wine, ideal for sharing over an afternoon catch-up with friends, to heartie plates such as our Homemade Burger, traditional Harvey's Battered Fish, and seasonal dishes inspired by the time of the year.
Shane's menus are shaped by the seasons and the weather, drawing on the very best local and British produce.
Whether it’s the first asparagus of spring or day-boat fish landed just down the coast, his approach is all about showcasing quality ingredients with creativity and care.
BAR
Our bar area is the perfect place to relax, whether you're catching up with friends, stopping by for a well-kept local beer or a glass of wine, or simply enjoying a drink after a walk with your dog.
Cosy, homely and full of character, the bar area offers comfortable armchairs, traditional tables and chairs, and plenty of inviting corners where you can settle in and make yourself at home.
If you're feeling hungry, you are more than welcome to enjoy dishes from our food menu in the bar too, offering a more relaxed and informal way to dine.
Whether it's a quick drink, a leisurely lunch or an evening spent with friends, our friendly and attentive team will be on hand to make you feel welcome.
Please note that all dogs are more than welcome in the bar area as long as they are kept on a lead at all times and off the furniture.

DRINKS
As a local gastronomic pub with rooms, we believe what's in your glass should be every bit as enjoyable as what's on your plate.
Local is at the heart of our drinks selection. From beautifully kept cask ales and local lagers to English wines, locally produced juices and spirits, we're proud to showcase some fantastic producers from Kent, Sussex and the surrounding area alongside much-loved classics.
Enjoy a perfectly poured pint of Harvey's from Lewes, or discover something closer to home from Pig & Porter Brewery in Tunbridge Wells, with their beers available on cask alongside their fantastic It's About Time lager.
Our guest ales and craft beers change regularly too, so there's often something new to discover.
For wine lovers, our carefully selected wine list brings together local English vineyards and classic wines from around the world. Working closely with our long-standing wine supplier, Ellis of Richmond, we've created a list that ranges from relaxed, easy-drinking favourites to more refined and interesting bottles for those special occasions.
Gin o'clock? We've got that covered too. Ask our team about our selection of gins, whether you fancy trying something locally produced or prefer one of the established classics.
If cocktails are more your thing, choose from our selection of cocktails freshly made to order.
For those avoiding alcohol, we also offer a growing range of beers and spirits alongside local juices, premium soft drinks and familiar favourites.

WHAT PEOPLE THINK
THE CAVE
Reserve our Cave for nibbles and drinks for small groups. It is quite snug so we would not recommend booking it for a full sit down meal, but it is perfect for informal gatherings!
(Our Cave can seat up to 10 people)
THE GARDEN
Our beer garden collects the sunshine all day in the summer and is a popular spot for locals to spend the hours grazing on our sharing boards and sipping a crisp glass of white wine or a refreshing pint.
Please note, that we do not reserve our garden tables or outside patio dining tables, they are first come first served.
PRIVATE HIRE & EVENT SPACES
