Our restaurant operates over two floors, both floors offering an informal, cosy and interesting place to dine. 

Over the years we have hosted an array of dining experiences, ranging from small family gatherings and brief working lunches to old friends uniting and special birthdays.

We do allow well-behaved dogs on leads inside our downstairs restaurant and bar area.

However, we do not allow Dogs in the upstairs of our building at this time.

OUR MENUS

All of our menus feature locally sourced produce wherever possible, and we are certain that you’ll be able to taste the quality. Dishes range seasonally from fresh, lively Summer plates to wholesome, comfort food in the Winter. We also aim to cater for different dietary requirements with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options available.

OUR FOOD

Dependant on the changing British weather you should expect to find our menu featuring seasonal produce, local wherever possible. Our Head Chef Lukasz showcases the best of British combined with European flavours and ideas, resulting in a diverse, colourful and exciting menu. Lukasz and his team come up with vibrant dishes featuring adventurous flavour combinations, and there is something to please all. Our versatile menu offers a range of sharing platters to graze on while chatting with friends and sampling our local ales. If you fancy a light dish then opt for one of our healthier options like a simple pan-fried fish dish complimented with fresh lively flavours from herbs, fruits and vegetables. Maybe you want to feast, in which case we recommend that you make the purpose of your lunchtime visit our Edgcumbe Burger, or perhaps you crave a classic dish such as our Beer Battered Haddock with Hand-cut Chips and Mushy Peas? Hungry yet…?

What an excellent venue, restaurant and staff. I messaged Mount Edgcumbe to arrange a birthday dinner for 12 and was offered a private room on Saturday night. The room was fantastic, with comfy sofas with a log fire for pre-meal drinks, dedicated waiting service all evening, and when we were ready a beautifully set table for our meal in an adjoining room. The food was ordered 48 hours in advance, 3 courses for 12 people, and was served expertly with a minimum of fuss, the food was wonderful without exception and the whole evening was made a special occasion by a really professional team and a lovely setting.

THE CAVE

Reserve our Cave for nibbles and drinks for small groups. It is quite snug so we would not recommend booking it for a full sit down meal, but it is perfect for informal gatherings!

(Our Cave can seat up to 10 people)

THE GARDEN

 OUR BACK BEER GARDEN IS NOW OPEN FOR BUSINESS

Our beer garden collects the sunshine all day in the Summer and is a popular spot for locals to while away the hours whilst grazing on our sharing boards and sipping a crisp glass of white wine or a refreshing pint.

 

Our conservatory space is still under renovation until late Spring 2024.

PRIVATE HIRE & EVENT SPACES
