What We Do
We are very pleased to have played a part in many special celebrations over the years, from Christenings to Wedding dinners, from 18th birthdays to 80th birthdays! Every private dining party we host here is unique, but with one thing in common – we create a space where guests feel welcome, comfortable and at home, so you can relax and create lasting memories with friends and family.
All private events are held on our first floor, where we have a couple of different dining areas. The maximum covers we can accommodate on one table is 20. Please note that this space is only accessible via stairs and that toilets are on the ground floor in the main bar/restaurant area.
We also offer Wakes and Buffets for up to a maximum of 35 people held in our upstairs restaurant. We have separate buffet-style menus for each with a minimum of 10 people for wakes and 20 people for buffets. Please feel free to give us an email for more information.
*We are unable to cater for standing events and tables over 12 people on Sundays*
During peak times such as Friday, Saturdays, Bank Holidays & Christmas, there is a minimum food spend requirement for booking private events and hire charges for certain spaces. We also require a deposit per head and pre-ordered menu choices for parties of 8-12. Please note all bookings upstairs must vacate the first floor by 10.00 pm.
Our Cave is also available to reserve if you are looking for an informal cosy space for a smaller gathering – we recommend around a max. of 8-10 people. During peak times, such as Christmas Party Season, we may require a deposit to reserve the space.

If you are looking for a space to hold a private meeting, our Georgian room is ideal. A beautifully finished and spacious room with large table space for a maximum of 10 delegates. We offer the use of a projector and screen if requested, flip chart and Wifi at £25 per hour (a minimum of 2 hours at a time), with tea and coffee available if needed for an additional fee. Please note that this space is only available Monday-Thursday and must be vacated by 2 pm.
For a sit-down meal, a deposit of £10 per head will be required to confirm your event with us; until we have received your deposit your booking is considered provisional. At peak times and dependent on numbers /type of event, there may also be a hire charge for use of the upstairs event space. Please email for more information and to check availability.
We booked a table for 16 people and the restaurant did not disappoint! Staff were attentive, organised, friendly and all around awesome! Food was great! Can’t recommend this enough! Although we are in a private room upstairs, I look forward to eating in the gardens next time as they have great outdoor seating!
Attended a company dinner with a large party of employees and spouses. We preordered our meal and everything was perfect from the appetizers to the deserts. The young lady that took care of our party was perfect. Attentive but not intrusive. Very nicely prepared ribeye steak. Excellent sticky toffee pudding. Nice selection of wine. They also have a great pub in which to start your evening. I will dine there again.
I planned a surprise dinner and party for my mum’s birthday on Saturday we had sole use of the dining area and sofas upstairs which was perfect. The staff were extremely accommodating and even decorated the room for me when I ran out of time it looked great when we got there, mum loved it! The food was lovely everyone really enjoyed it, we had other family and friends join us after dinner for drinks the sofa area with the dining room is perfect for this and feels really warm and homely. Thank you so much to all the staff it was the best night and everyone had a ball!
Massive thanks to the team for the superb work they did when they hosted my surprise 50th birthday over the weekend! The room, food, drinks and service were exceptional and we were made to feel very special. Thank You.
Thank you to the team as always for a truly lovely meal and drinks. We requested the table we had when we celebrated the baby shower two years ago and they accommodated our request for the same table for the now born Sienna's birthday without even hesitation which meant a lot to us and made it extra special. The decorations were beautiful as ever and I have no faults - thank you and who knows we may be having Sienna's 4th birthday there too! Keep up the good work team X
