Private Events

What We Do

 

We are very pleased to have played a part in many special celebrations over the years, from Christenings to Wedding dinners, from 18th birthdays to 80th birthdays! Every private dining party we host here is unique, but with one thing in common – we create a space where guests feel welcome, comfortable and at home, so you can relax and create lasting memories with friends and family.

 

The Spaces

 

All private events are held on our first floor, where we have a couple of different dining areas. The maximum covers we can accommodate on one table is 12. Please note that this space is only accessible via stairs and that toilets are on the ground floor in the main bar/restaurant area.

We also offer Wakes and Buffets for a maximum of up to 30 people held in our upstairs restaurant. We have separate buffet-style menus for each with a minimum of 10 people for wakes and 20 people for buffets. Please feel free to give us an email for more information. *We do not accept standing events on Sundays

 

The Options

 

During peak times such as Friday, Saturdays & Bank Holidays,  and Christmas there is a minimum food spend requirement for booking private events and hire charges for certain spaces. We also require a deposit per head and pre-ordered menu choices for parties of 8-12. Please note all bookings upstairs must vacate the first floor by 10.30 pm.

 

Our Cave is also available to reserve if you are looking for an informal cosy space for a smaller gathering – we recommend around a max. of 8-10 people. During peak times, such as Christmas Party Season, we may require a deposit to reserve the space.

Meetings

 

If you are looking for a space to hold a private meeting, our Georgian room is ideal. A beautifully finished and spacious room with large table space for a maximum of 10 delegates. We offer the use of a projector and screen, flip chart and Wifi at £25 per hour (a minimum of 2 hours at a time), with tea and coffee available if needed for an additional fee. Please note that this space is only available Monday-Thursday and must be vacated by 2 pm.

 

General Info

 

For a sit-down meal, a deposit of £10 per head will be required to confirm your event with us; until we have received your deposit your booking is considered provisional. At peak times and dependent on numbers /type of event, there may also be a hire charge for use of the upstairs event space. Please email for more information and to check availability.
