Private Events

What We Do

 

We are very pleased to have played a part in many special celebrations over the years, from Christenings to Wedding dinners, from 18th birthdays to 80th birthdays! Every private dining party we host here is different, but with one thing in common – we create a space where guests feel welcome, comfortable and at home, so they can relax and create lasting memories with friends and family. We offer a selection of food and beverage options that can be enjoyed in one of our several event spaces. The Spaces

 

All private events are held on our first floor, where we have a couple of different dining areas. The maximum covers we can accommodate on one table is 20 (on Sundays a maximum of 12 covers only), for anything above that we recommend one of our buffet menus. For the whole of our first floor the standing capacity is 50 guests. Please note that this space is only accessible via stairs and that toilets are on the ground floor in the main bar/restaurant area.

 

The Options

 

During peak times such as Friday – Sunday and Christmas there is a minimum food spend requirement for booking private event space. We also require a deposit per head and pre-ordered menu choices for parties of 10+. Please note all bookings upstairs must vacate the first floor by 10.30pm. On Sundays the maximum we can accommodate for a sit down meal is 12 people and we cannot accommodate buffet events.

 

Our Cave is also available to reserve if you are looking for an informal cosy space for a smaller gathering – we recommend for around a max. of 10 people. During peak times, such as Christmas Party Season, we may require a deposit to reserve the space.

Meetings

 

If you are looking for a space to hold a private meeting, our Georgian room is ideal. A beautifully finished and spacious room with large table space for a maximum of 12 delegates. We offer use of a projector and screen, flip chart and Wifi, with tea and coffee included, all at £20 per hour (a minimum of 2 hours at a time). Please note that this space is only available Monday-Thursday.

 

General Info

 

For a sit down meal or buffet, a deposit of £10 per head will be required to confirm your event with us; until we have received your deposit your booking is only considered provisional. At peak times and dependent on numbers /type of event, there may also be a hire charge to have exclusive use of the upstairs event space. Please email for more information and to check availability.
